Kimberly Gentile
Associate Director, International Scholars

Kimberly Gentile joined UC Riverside in March 2011. She has a Master's degree from the University of La Verne. She serves as a subject-matter expert for employment-based visas. Her primary responsibilities are working on Green Cards Visas and overseeing policies and procedures for the International Scholar team. Prior to working for the University of California, Riverside Kimberly had worked for The City of Hope as an Immigration Specialist. She coordinated and maintained all visa programs within the City of Hope National Medical Center and Beckman Research Institute. She also analyzed Federal and State regulations, prepared immigration policy, and ensured compliance. She has worked as an Immigration Paralegal and Legal Secretary. She brings with her extensive knowledge of H-1B and J-1 Visas.

Makbule Koksal
J Scholar Advisor

Makbule Koksal, has an international background and experience. Makbule is a native of Ankara, Turkey and arrived in the US as an international immigrant in 2000. Makbule left Turkey to join her husband and raise a family in Riverside California. Before arriving in the US, Makbule earned a BS degree in food engineering from University of Ankara, Turkey and then joined Ankara Chamber of Industry 1st Organized Industrial Zone where she worked as a Director for 10 years. There, Makbule established the necessary environmental organization in areas allocated for plantation which included oversight of irrigation, budget and maintenance of the plants. Upon her arrival to the US, Makbule participated in many programs for international professionals arriving in the US such as the International Women’s Group through UC Riverside. Makbule joined the International Scholar team in March 2008.  Since then, Makbule has been gladly helping international UCR scholars with their immigration needs. 

Stacy Mason
H-1B Advisor

Stacy Mason came to U.C. Riverside in March 2015. She has a B.A. in Intercultural Religious Studies with a concentration in Applied Linguistics and a Teaching English as a Second Language Certificate from Trinity Western University (British Columbia, Canada). In 2009 Stacy applied her intercultural skills by moving to Japan for four years to teach English to Japanese high school students. She is a member of NAFSA and is currently working on her Master of Arts in Intercultural Relations. Stacy is excited to be supporting our international faculty and staff. 

Lenore Davidson
Case Management Coordinator

Lenore Davidson is an alumnae of UC Riverside. She has a B.A. in Spanish, French, Intercultural Ministries and TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) Certificate. As a UCR student, Lenore studied abroad with UCEAP in Pau and Paris, France and Mexico City. At the time, she was actively involved with what was known as the International Services Center. Later, Lenore lived in Papua New Guinea, where she learned the yet unwritten language of the native Myus. She developed an alphabet and literacy program and translated the New Testament into the Myu language. Lenore returned to UCR to work in 2007 and joined this office staff in 2012. She enjoys interacting with the international student and scholar community.
